Saturday 4th August 2012

It was Jen's birthday, so we decided to do a walk in the Lakes with a few summits to tick off. Jen's mum Val was up to visit and Martin and Julie from the village came along too. We parked at Littletown in the Newlands Valley, and walked up onto Maiden Moor, then with the valley on our right all the time, we ticked off High Spy, Dale Head and Hindscarth. The weather was kind to us, starting off quite bright, darkness and heavy rain wasn't far away as the day went on. However, we only got wet on the final few hundred yards getting back to the car.
